The Administration of Krasnodar Krai carries out an active image policy. With the aim of informing about investment potential of the region the Administration of Krasnodar Krai constantly organises various exhibitions and presentations.

In February 2005 a presentation of Krasnodar Krai was organised for Italian business groups. As part of the presentation was organised offices of representatives of the Kuban in the Italian cities of Reggio-Emilia and Milan were opened.

In April 2006 in Vienna a presentation of the economy of Krasnodar Krai was held forrepresentatives of social and business circles of the Austrian Republic, the results of which was the signing of a protocol of intention of two sided cooperation between the Administration of Krasnodar Krai and the representative of the Austrian town of Baden.

In May 2006 in London a presentation of the economy of Krasnodar Krai was held for representatives of political and business circles of Great Britain. Interest in business in the Kuban was expressed by more than 300 companies participating in the conference Krasnodar Krai and Great Britain - Opportunities and Perspectives for Development of Cooperation and Investment.

From 23 to 26 July 2006 Krasnodar Krai presented its investment potential to partners in the People’s Republic of China. During the presentation conferences were held in Shanghai and Kunshan. Numerous meetings and negotiations, carried out as part of the visit, allowed cooperation between China and the Kuban to move to a new level.

The Administration of Krasnodar Krai is a constant participant at well known international exhibitions.

Zelenaya Nedelya - is the largest and best known international fair in the world of environmentally safe products of the food industry, agriculture and forestry, market gardening and orchards.

Every year approximately half a million people visit the exhibition as well as more than 100 000 business representatives. Within the framework of the exhibition sales, demonstrations of products for agriculture, forestry and landscaping projects, as well as various symposiums, seminars, forums and other events are carried out.

Participation in Zelenaya Nedelya in Berlin gives the opportunity to managers and specialists of agricultural businesses of the Kuban to enrich their knowledge and experience, assess the latest achievements in the area of production of food supplies, and work out a strategy for development of the field.

MIPIM - is a place of meetings with the largest international investors, city and regional authorities, banks, lawyers, architects, designers, builders, journalists, managers of companies from all over the world and with all who are interested in attracting investment with the aim of discussing trends in the world market of commercial real estate, analysis and prediction of its development, as well as representation and discussion of the best projects in this sphere.

Participation by the delegation of Krasnodar Krai at the MIPIM exhibition makes it possible to meet with a large number of potential foreign partners and investors and to sign mutually beneficial agreements of cooperation over a short time period.

Every year international economic forums take place whose aim is to inform business circles of the investment potential of Krasnodar Krai, to attract foreign investors to the Krai, improve the image of the region, forming new business contacts, reinforcing and developing existing contacts, attracting the attention of investors to new and current investment projects, moving product with the mark Krasnodar Krai on the European markets, exchanging experience in questions of international economic cooperation

Over three years of existence of the international economic forum Krasnodar Krai Days in Germany have been signed more than 150 Agreements to a value of 2 milliard Euros. In 2006 this Krasnodar Krai Days in Germany was especially productive in investment: over two days of work of the economic forum in Munich were signed 30 Agreements to a value of 1.3 milliard Euros (the total value of agreements signed in Hanover in 2005 was 720 million Euros).

Since 2002 in the town of Sochi on the coast of the Black Sea in Krasnodar Krai the international economic forum Kuban has been held. Its aim is organisation of constructive dialogue between authorities and businesses on economic and investment development in the south of Russia, and attracting investment into the region. The organisers of the forum are the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation; the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal Okrug; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation; the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; the Administration of Krasnodar Krai.

In 2006 the international economic forum Kuban achieved a new level of quality. Over the previous five years it became a financial and political event in the life of Russia, and the largest exposition of investment projects in the country. Today, by decision of the Co-Chairman of the organising committee German Gref, Dmitrii Kozak and Aleksandr Tkachev in the near future the Sochi forum may become real competition for the international exhibition of commercial real estate MIPIM in Cannes.

For several days the small seaside town became the economic capital of Russia and welcomed more than 4000 visitors and participants. The forum was visited by representatives of 53 regions of Russia and potential investors from 14 countries around the world, among which were the USA, Germany, Italy, Austria, the United Arab Emirates, and others. The work of the V International Economic Forum Kuban-2006 was attended by 400 journalists from 151 different media (television, newspapers, magazines, Internet, etc).

The forum Kuban became a place for meetings and open dialogues with leading politicians and businessmen of the country, investors and representatives of the authorities.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin attended the forum as well as the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Southern Federal Okrug Dmitrii Kozak, the Vice Premier Aleksandr Zhykov, the Minister for Economic Development and Trade German Gref, and members of the Soviet of the Federation and State Duma of Russia.

Such intense attention from the leaders of the country and Krai to the International Economic Forum Kuban says a great deal about how the motto ‘investment is the road to economic development of Russia’ has become one of the priority directions in the economic policy of the country.

The overall area of the exhibition of the forum exceeded 15 000 square metres, and there were displays by the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Russia, the Southern Federal Okrug, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and dozens of other subjects of the Russian Federation.
